We are an Irish-run family business, father and sons, located on the west pier of Dun Laoghaire for the last 35 years. In our workshop, we specialise in all aspects of vehicle repair, from small scratches to major bodywork, and also in all mechanical work, from small services to engine rebuilds. We cater to all aspects, including pre-NCT checks and testing. We are a fully insured and approved workshop, and most recently AA Approved, with more than compatible prices and only top-quality work.
We also have a wide range of cars for sale, with stock constantly changing. All cars come with NCT, a full service, and a full valet. If we don’t have the right car for you, we can source the carto meet your requirements.
If you’re looking to sell your car or trade it in, we also offer “Cash for cars.” We will have the cash ready for you that day.

These lads are bang on SoundNow normalyy when i go to a dealer or garage the people are in a rush dont pay attention half the time . these lads . literally dropped everything for me . they were patient . they were calm and they were able to be honest and truthful . very good lads . i reached out 2 days before hand as they had a car i wanted . they had it ready for a test drive and gave my car a full inspection . they arranged the deal i would not say im the easiest to deal with even though im friendly i think ive a touch of ADHD and was a bit of a mess talking with them. but all of them took time to work with me . from Max taking me out on the test drive going over the details on the car to the lads checking out my car when i was telling them about it .Highly recomend these and they are backed by AA which is a great thinkCash deposit then the rest was done throuhg the bank . they kept me informed and the car got a service a check and new tyres as it was needed so they do give you a car in great working order

Don't be put off by the location (behind a dismantlers) I had a very good experience purchasing a VW imported from Japanese from Max. The car was prepared to a high standard, and while still early days, feels more like a 2 year old car than 6 years. I can recommend them. Very fair

Bought a car from Max & Darragh and got a fair deal. Had some issues during the warranty period, but they were always there to help us. When we discovered a problem with the engine, they quickly solve the problem. They were upfront, respectful, and honest always. Unlike some other dealers, they followed through on their promises. Grateful we had such trustworthy professionals to deal with.

Trustworthy dealers who I would recommend to anyone. I recently bought a car from Max & Darragh who gave us a very fair price. During the warranty period we had a few issues with the car and they were always on hand to help. When we found an issue with the cars engine, it needed to be returned and they facilitated a refund without any hassle. The guys were transparent, respectful and honest throughout. They honoured their commitment to the sale and the warranty, which can not be said for every car dealer. We were unlucky with this car, but I'm very grateful that these were the professionals we were dealing with.

Superior work and customer service.Have been a long time customer but only recently had to go back for some part to be replaced and some big enough body repairs. Max and his team discussed all the options and price in detail before proceeding with the work. The job competed was exceptional and I can not fault the work.Reasonable prices and great work......cant ask for more than that.I cant recommend them enough. 5 stars
